Reunited and it feels so good!

Another early morning for us. We had to get to the airport around 5:30am and we didn't want to be running late so we were up and out the door by 5. Shaun wasn't too bad even tho we woke him up in the middle of his deep sleep...thank goodness. At the airport Mike almost blew a blood vessel in his head because he was so mad at the guy who booked our flight. Apparently this travel agent guy was an idiot or something and we have been having all kind of issues with our tickets since we left Texas. Today when we checked in the lady couldn't find our reservation...that's just wonderful. She asked us if we had a copy of the itinerary so that she could find the ticket number but of course we didn't have it. So it took her about 10 min to find it then she had and issue with finding Shaun's reservation...at this point Mike was just fuming. The lady tried and tried but couldn't find the right information for Shaun for our connecting flight so she couldn't check us in/print out tickets for the connection...Mike...well he was red in the face...and like he use to say all the time, he had the case of the red ass! It looks like the travel agent put Shaun on my ticket originally but for some reason took him off of my ticket then put him on Mike's and because of that there was no way for the lady at the airport to tell who's ticket Shaun was really on...or something like that...such a mess. Mike remembers it being a battle trying to book the flights with the travel agent guy but he had no idea it was going to be such a nightmare. Well nothing we could do, so she told us we had to check in and get our boarding pass once we got to London...geeze I peez o. I guess it could have been worst, we could have not had a reservation :-/  Well it wasn't the end of the world, we would have plenty of time to get our tickets in London. So we went thru security and waited for our flight to leave. The view from the airport was nice, you could see the country side and all the green...really nice.

Mike and Shaun were excited this morning too...even tho they were tired!

Flight to London was quick. Shaun slept thru most of it and we tried to seep but with no luck. On the Air Lingus flights they make me put this infant seat belt on Shaun which to me does absolutely nothing. I remember fighting the lady about it the first time because I had Shaun in the Moby wrap and she made me put the belt in him anyway. I think he was safer in the Moby than in the little belt they had for me...anyway this time I didn't fight because I wasn't going to win...that rarely happens...just as my friend Gina!  Shaun was ready to go and thought he was going to have a seat to his self but I had to bust his bubble and tell him he was too small for that seat...but it was cute anyway.

Once we got to London it takes like 30 min to get thru all the craziness that is the Heathrow Airport...that airport is huge and with all the construction it just makes it a nightmare. Finally, we get to the ticket counter to get our tickets and we find out that the travel agent (this idiot) didn't put in any of our passport info so that's why we couldn't get checked in earlier. What a mess. Bad news is that we are going to have to deal with this same issue when we return...ugh. Well we got our tickets and headed to NY. Our flight was about 7 hrs and was pretty uneventful. Shaun slept for about 3hrs, I got about 1hr and Mike got about 1-1.5hrs. It's always hard to sleep on the plane so any sleep at all is a blessing.

We got to NY and got thru customs with no issues. When we got off the plane one of the flight attendants called Shaun a princess!!! I was like he is a prince or a king...no princess. Talk about foot in mouth...she recovered with, he is just so beautiful he could be a girl...whatever lady :-0. Then the boarder patrol guy offered to take Shaun off our hands if we wanted to give him up...but otherwise uneventful.

PopPop had perfect timing and drive up to the pick up point almost exactly when we got outside. No Lino in the car so we had to wait for our reunion until we got to the house. The weather in NY was cold and rainy...WTF! We just left the land of cold and rain so we were a little bummed out when we saw the rain. PopPop said it was the first rainy day since we left...of course that's our luck. So the whole drive to the house we were wondering how Lino would react to us being there. Would he be happy or not really care??? I was worried he didn't miss us, that would make us both really sad. We knew that he was going to be excited to see Shaun but the question was would he be excited to see us????

Well...he was super excited to see us!!! Mike got in the door first and Lino ran up the stairs and to Mike yelling "daddy daddy daddy!!!!" Oh my goodness, that just warmed my heart...almost had a tear. Then I came in with Shaun and he was like "mommy mommy...Shaun Shaun Shaun SHAUN IS HERE!!" Well at least he was excited to see me for a second...hahaha. It was so good to see Lino...he looked so different. First old he is so freaking dark it's crazy...he almost as dark as me!!!! And he got a buzz cut so he looked so different. And even tho he got super far he still has his blond hair in the front of his head...just crazy. It was nice tho, the whole night he kept coming up to us as giving us hugs and kisses and saying how he missed us and loved us. It was the sweetest thing ever, better reunion than I could have imagined.

Some pics from the reunion:

Daddy needs a hair cut but otherwise this is a super cute pic. Lino wanted to wrap his hand around his neck for the pic...make my heart melt.

I was super tired but look at how happy Lino is to take a pic with me...OMG...love that little man so much.

Lino couldn't get enough hugs and kisses from Shaun and I couldn't get enough pictures. I love the brother love. We could tell that Shaun missed Lino too because every time Lino got close to Shaun he would reach out to grab him to kiss him or eat his face (hard to tell which it was)...it was just cute.

Shaun and PopPop quality time! Shaun was so relaxed with PopPop and Siesta wasn't  to sure what to think about Shaun taking over PopPop's lap. I'm sure if she could talk she would have said  "oh no...now there's two of them!"  Hahahaha...lets just say I don't think Siesta is a huge fan of the boys...especially Lino. But to her credit Lino can be a little rough with her. I think he's just use to the big dogs he's usually around like Bella at the Knott's house and Roxy and Bailey at Gpa &Gma Britton's house...either way he's a rough kid.

Nan got a little loving from Shaun as well...

Shaun actually was not in a good mood, I'm pretty sure he was just jet lagged. Poor kid was really tired and cranky all night, I felt bad for everyone because he didn't want to sit with anyone for very long...can't blame him. All in all a good reunion...it feels good to have the family back together again. Lino seems to be pretty set with potty training so that is a blessing...I hope he continues it when we get to Ireland.
